Scope
Biobanks are emerging as important resources for the progress of science and technology, and have the potential for a substantial impact on the economic growth of the regions in which they are located. The meeting "The BioBank as an instrument for economic development" aims to address the evolution of the biobanking system as a strategic tool for economic return, based on some key scientific areas that lie both upstream and downstream of the biobank itself; such areas are exemplified in the figure below.
A number of protagonists in the field have agreed to speak on topics relevant to the biobanking sector, and a matchmaking session is being organized to promote collaborations and joint ventures among academic scientists and representatives from industry. We hope you will be able to join us in Florence!
Registration
Registration is free, and a limited number of grants are available to cover the cost of two nights' hotel accommodation in Florence. These grants will be awarded on a first-come, first-serve basis. Please click here to register. The registration deadline is April 1.
